They sing the same ‘song of life’
❦
They sing the same ‘song of life’
Only with different words
But a few might sing different songs
With rhythm and doubted terms
Let me be real this time
I’m tired of these lies and votes inside
What do you imply me be
It’s my voice, no not really me
There are two types of pain
Pain that reduces
And pain that alters
And today, you get to choose dear omelets
Do you even comprehend
the weight of these words?
“I did best I knew how”
I can keep crying now
I had to walk to the unknown
With no-one, no hand to hold
Don’t blame us for getting old
Naturally, I’m a not character to unfold
You can’t know joy
Unless you know sorrow
Always has been and always will be
It’s written in both stories of you and me
Confused, sad, excited, mad
I’m emotional, well that’s too bad
I can’t sleep - then get up or dream
History repeats - as you may, I please
Music is the best distraction
Second to the movies of course
Life is a changing chain reaction
So many stories yet to be told
Linguistics are quite fascinating
I find English now very improvising
Trying to find words for feelings
I don’t know how to express, or comprehend
Not long ago, I told myself
I would deny the pain
It’s not a bug, but a feature itself
So why not make a gain
